The Legacy Mom Foundation exists to create community, support, and opportunity for single mothers navigating motherhood without a partner in the home. We recognize that single mothers come from many walks of life, and we believe every mother deserves to feel seen, honored, and supported.

Our work reflects this belief through a range of offerings—some designed to build community and celebrate motherhood, and others created to support long-term transformation.

Our Community

For the purposes of The Legacy Mom Foundation’s programs and initiatives, a single mother is defined as a woman who is unmarried, divorced, widowed, or legally separated and is the primary caregiver of at least one child under the age of 18, without financial or household support from a cohabiting partner.

This definition allows us to steward our resources responsibly while honoring the dignity of the mothers we serve.

Strategic Support for the Missing Middle

Our cornerstone programs are intentionally designed for the missing middle—working single mothers who earn income, are financially responsible, and are committed to building long-term stability and generational wealth, yet are often excluded from traditional assistance due to income thresholds.

These programs focus on:

• Coaching and personal development

• Healing and emotional growth

• Financial literacy, budgeting, and credit improvement

• Homeownership and legacy-building education

Because these programs require a level of readiness to be effective, participation includes a strategic application and eligibility process.

Cornerstone Programs

Because our resources are limited and entrusted to us through the generosity of donors and community partners, The Legacy Mom Foundation uses a simple and respectful eligibility process for select programs and events.

Participation in programs and events is subject to availability.

Program Capacity

The Legacy Mom Foundation reserves the right to determine eligibility based on program guidelines, capacity, and available resources.
